Please come in if you have step parents...
If you have step parents, how do you refer to them with your DC? Is your step-father/mother called grandma or grandpa, or do you refer to them by their first name?
Both my parents are re-married, but I don't refer to my step-parents as grandma or grandpa, I find it uncomfortable to do so.

/8we call him Grandpa Firstname. I don't like referring to him as that bc I don't really get along with him. but no reason for hurt feelings either

Well DH has a step mom. She is Lisa, to us and the baby will continue to call her Lisa. You have no idea how much I wanted to punch DH's father in the face when he called her "grandma" to DS...
We do not have a good relationship with this woman... She is the reason why DH's father, and that side of the family didn't come to our wedding.

I am close to my step-mom and I call her by her first name, she is refered to as Grandma Nancy for my daughter.

DH has a step mom, she is Grandma Kate. DH's mom's girlfriend (yeah, that's a fun one ) is Grandma Conny too...
DS has 4 grandmas to 1 grandpa

My step-mom is Grandma cookie and my step dad is papa Mo. My parents are grandma and grandpa and DH parents are nani and poppa

My mom remarried last year. My DD started calling him "Pepa" on her own. I still call him by his first name. But I do say things now like "go give this to Pepa".
My DH and I were just talking about this today. In 2 weeks we will be moving next to my dad and his wife. They have only met one of my kids once. But after this move they will be a big part of their lives. I was just wondering what my kids will call my stepmom. She is only 38 so I doubt she will want o be grandma. I think I will ask her what she wants to be called.
My DD's call my mom and her husband (and my MIL and her husband) Mema and Pepa. But I think I want them to call my Dad, Grandpa and whatever my step mom wants to called by
