DS was fine up until 4 weeks... When he turned 4 weeks, he started SCREAMING during and after feedings, he would spit up the entire bottle, and he would do this weird thing (kinda arching) with his back. We finally went to the dr. and we got put on Zantac. 9 formulas later, we found the right formula and DS has been fine since about 13 weeks or so. We stopped his meds and he loves eating now! Good luck

yes, it's possible.  it's also more common in pre-term babies. if you suspect reflux i would take her to the ped as soon as you can.

I was EBF and DS had reflux. He would latch on and after a few moments let go and scream. He would stiffen up, arch his back, and turn red. Then he would eagerly return to the breast only to have the same thing happen again minutes later. Our ped put him on axid...didn't do anything...we also tried rice cereal in small amounts in a bottle when I pumped. Basically, he just had to outgrow it, and did around 4.5 months of age.

Yes both my DD's were EBF and they both have/had reflux. DD#2 has it now.

Thanks everyone!!!
Ann feeds at the breast and does the back arch, screams & works herself up (unless we are in the side lying position).
I've also been pumping & bottle feeding (in prep for my return to work) and she's only started doing the above in the past few days (although she has always been an extremely gassy baby & needs frequent burping during a feeding).
Our next ped appt is on 8/10 - should I try to schedule something sooner?

I would call the doctor and see if you can get an earlier appointment....she sounds like she's in pain!
