Re: Please give me your opinions (ped related)
I would be looking for another ped. I probably would have felt like they didn't want to be bothered. I would have demanded the ped. call me back directly (nothing via the receptionist). I'd be fuming and now way would I be mad at DH.

They refused to see him...said they were very busy...and that they didnt have any more to offer us...
They refused?! OMG that right there is grounds for a swift kick in the backside just before you pull Caden's medical records and leave...in my opinion.
What would you do? Would you change pediatricians? Would you write a letter? Would you be embarrassed? PO'd at them? PO'd at DH? Would you have done the same thing? Etc Etc....
Personally, I would find a new pediatrician and leave this one. As far as writing a letter - I say no - a doctor like this sounds like he doesn't care...and that won't change...letter or not. I say walk away and don't look back.
Here's my feeling with doctors...I don't have a medical degree...hence why I seeing or taking my child to a doctor. I don't have the luxury of medical education or experience to calm my fears and diagnose my child. I need to be spoken to with respect, with understanding that the most important person in my world is going through something that I don't understand, with care and patience.
PS. Caden is fine. We spoke to another pediatrician friend of ours who basically said the same thing...Who explained things to DH and calmed him down.
Glad that the cutest reindeer in the whole wide world is okay And I am glad that you found a doctor to explain things to you.
I'm sorry but no doctor should turn to a concerned and scared parent and give a one line answer. We are entitled to a better explanation...a "nothing to worry about because xyz"
