Please help my 7 week old has gas pains
its so sad he is crying in pain :( This just started yesterday I am doing the bicycle, the gas hold and just gave him mylicon drops for the first time- do they work and if so how long does it take wok? anything else I can do? Do you think we need to change formula? he was on simalic advance and he had a bad reaction to it so his ped put him on simalic sensative and he was doing great till now. Thanks in advance

Awww, poor baby
Try some sugar water. Dip his paci in it and then give him the paci. Worked really well for my son.
(it's about a tbsp of sugar and 1oz of water mixed well).
hope that helps.

Re: Please help my 7 week old has gas pains
chamomile tea was the only thing that was able to calm him down a little from the pains DS used to have.
I used to mix it with his formula.
you can also try bicycle legs & burp him in the middle of the feeding. we also used to keep him upright for 15 min after his bottle.

Re: Please help my 7 week old has gas pains
Dd had terrible gas every time she farted she screamed hysterical. I tried everything it really was about playing around and getting her on the right formula. They day after I put her on goodstart gentle she was like a different baby. Mylicon didn't work for dd but some people swear by it.

Re: Please help my 7 week old has gas pains
from a ped dietitian
I 100000% recommend gentlease. The difference between gentlease and sim sensative is the gentlease has partially broken down proteins, that make formula easier to digest, has a 60/40 whey to caesin ratio so its also easier to digest and it has reduced lactose (sim sensative is lactose free) so it enables the enzyme lactase to work in the gut.
I have seen great results with this product especially compared to similac products. They are mostly caesin (the curd of milk - harder to digest).
You can also do the following: bicycles with legs to get gas our burp every 1-2oz keep nipple filled with formula to prevent air
