Please help. My dog is missing. In the Suffolk BluePoint area ***Update!! HE has been found!
My dog has run away and he didnt have his collar on. He has been missing all day. If you live in the area or know someone that does can you please keep an eye out? I am beyond devestated
His name is Porter
He is 20 lbs and a terrier Mix

contact your local police precinct, animal control & shelter incase someone finds him and turns him in...hope he comes home!!!

Not sure if you did it already, but check Craigslist. Maybe someone found him.
You can also post a lost ad looking for him.
Good Luck...I he finds his way home soon.

PORTER HAS BEEN FOUND! Thank you so much for all your thoughts!!!!!!. Here is the story. We just went out 20 minutes ago to hang signs.. as my sister is hanging the 2nd sign a car pulled over and told us that his neighbors found our dog this morning and didn't know what to do with him..He called them and put them on the phone with us... the woman who found him called the shelter and told them (even though they told me they didnt know anything) and then she took him out to the Hamptons for the day... so my dog... ran away and is now sun tanning out in the hamptons. ONLY PORTER. I have never been happier..but I wont be relieved until I see him. They are leaving the hamptons in an hour and bringing him right home

He really does somehow always find a way to have a good time. He has been home for about an hour now and I havent stopped hugging him since. He had dug a hole and escaped from the backyard all within the 5 minutes he was out there and didnt have his collar on so I never thought I would fine him 
Luckily the woman who found him saw him walking on the train tracks!! she pulled over and since he loves people he hopped in her car. She went to the police precinct and called the local animal shelters. I called all of them and the police precinct and they never told me someone had him. However she said she thought he was a boxer/ pitbull puppy and I was saying he was a 2 yr old terrier mix. I can understand the disconnect. He was microchipped so I called and said he was missing. The woman was going to bring him to the shelter tomorrow to have him scanned - but she felt bad leaving him home alone in her house for the day that she took him to a BBQ in the hamptons with her.
As my sister and I were hanging signs a kid drove by and stopped and said that he knew who had our dog.. ended up calling them and finding out where he was. When they dropped him off he had bbq sauce on his face and we learned he had steak for dinner only my dog
I am so thankful for this family that found him and took such good care of him. I have learned my lesson. He will ALWAYS have his collar on and I will have to keep an eye on him in the backyard.
just so happy he is home

Thankfully a really great woman found him. I think it's so great that she took him to a BBQ because she didn't want to leave him alone..totally something that I would do
