Please help- TMI problem with 2 year old
Does anyone have any experience/advice with this issue?
Starting around this 2nd b-day, DS goes into his diaper and smears his poop, at his naptime or whenever he is alone and poops. He removes his pants and digs into the legs of the diaper, so taping it shut won't work.
He normally goes 2x a day, in the morning and in the afternoon. Morning is predictable, right after breakfast, so I just change him. Afternoon- no matter what time I put him down for a nap- he always waits for me to leave him alone in his room to poop- then, he makes a mess.
I cleaned him up with a shower today, which he hated, rather than a bubble bath. Will that be a deterrant? Just don't know what to do. I duct tape his pants to his shirt for naps and he rips it off.
I am so exhausted- 7 months pregnant and cleaning/disinfecting/extra laundry is taking its toll- today I was hysterically crying the whole time I did it.

Put him in a one piece blanket sleeper (with the zipper)...BACKWARDS!!
He won't be able to open it up and access the diaper.
Can you tell I've had experience with this when my 2 were little?

Thank you for the response!
Should I cut the feet off first or leave them as is?

cut off the feet if they are too tight.
My DD is obsessed with taking off her diaper too - but she doesn't play wiht the poop thank God!!
ETA- but my dog will eat it if he finds it before I do!!
And my DD refuses to do anything on the potty right now.

Re: Please help- TMI problem with 2 year old
Many moms have been where you are now. Ds went in his sisters room. Took off his diaper and crapped on the rug. Then yelled at me "what did you do". Then the next day came up to me naked and smeared with poop. Then another day he took off his diaper and I got to play search for the poop in the house So now he wears the blanket sleeper backwards until after he poops. I just got it a size bigger so I would not have to cut the feet out. It will get better

Could he be ready to potty train? I have no idea but just guessing?

I think he could be ready to potty train- I bought him a potty today.
Maybe it is a sign that he does not like his diaper being dirty- or that he is more aware of it?
