Please keep Hubby in prayers...Kinda long
My hubby has been in the hospital since 1030 pm Monday night.
Monday morning 7am, Anthony had his annual Colonospay (sp), he has Crohnes disease. Around 3pm, he started to have stomach pains. He thought it was gas, so went on his day.
When I got home from work at 930 pm, I found him laying in bed, with a fever (99.6), chills, and stomach pains. The heat was even on 75 (our highest our heat is ever on is 67).
I called the DR service number, he talked to DH and said he would call back in 30 min to see how he is feeling. 15 minutes later DH told me he needed to go to the ER. DH can tolerate pain, but he was in so much pain he was crying.
Driving to the ER was the longest drive ever. We got there at 10:30 and within 10 minutes he turned pale white and vomitted. They took him to a bed, where they checked him out.
They gave him meds for the pain, and about 2 am they told us what happened. They admitted him at 4 am, but did not have a bed for him.
During the colonospy, the doctor punctured his intestense. That caused air to enter and form air pockets around his intestines, and colon.
At 7am on Tuesday, they told me that I needed to leave the ER. I went home, showered, and returned abck to the hospital at 1030.
They are treating him anti boitics, and if that does not help, they will have to give him a colospy bag for 6 weeks. The doctor told us that the surgery is difficult because he has crohnes disease.
His fever has been as high as 102.6 and as low as 100.3. It still has not broke yet. He is so miserable, and in so much pain, I don't know what to do to help him.
I have been very strong in front of him....but very sad at home.
Please keep my DH in your prayers.
Thanks Ladies.

I hope he is feeling better and the pain as subsided. We'll keep him in our prayers and hope the antibotics is the answer.

He is at Mather in Port Jefferson. He has been going for this test since he is 13 years old...and the same doctor for 20 years!
My friend Kerri has been staying with me at night so I don't have to sleep alone.

Wow, that is really scary! The doctor didn't know he did that at the time of the colonoscopy? Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Wow, that is terrible. So scary too ( I also have Crohn's so these tests are common for me too) I will keep you both in my prayers. Keep us updated
