We are trying to come up with ideas too, I rencently saw an article in This Old House about Curb Appeal, it was only two pages, but it has some interesting ideas

This is an older pic when we first bought our house. Since then we have a new door and screen door, new shutters and we painted our door black to match the shutters.   Image Attachment(s):

The first is when we bought our house and the second two are last year after we finished construction, new siding and roof. We used Eagleshore (Babylon/Bay Shore area) and were very happy with them. We did the fence and driveway just after we moved in. Image Attachment(s):
