Please recommend your 3 row SUV/Minivan...
We need to start to think about an SUV with a 3rd row. We would consider a minivan, our neighbor swears by hers its just hard to become a mini van mom thanks

I'm all for being a mini van mom since we will be having a third as well. Hubby however is not lol. Curious to read the recommendations.

We have a Toyota Siena and we just got a GMC Acadia. While I really like the Acadia, the Toyota Siena is just so much more comfortable and roomy to me.
ETA: We went for the Acadia because I thought I was done with being a minivan mom. But I really miss driving it everyday.

I just became a "mini-van mom" and can't imagine driving anything else with 3 kids. I have a Honda Odyssey. It is roomy and comfortable. 2 adults can sit comfortably in the 3rd row with the casrseat.

You really need to go check out out and understand it fits all your requirements. The "Mini-Van" has a stigma or stereotype that really inst fair. Town and Country is a great fan with fold down seats and plenty of space to do everything and more. Worry more about your needs rather then what people will think. I was antivan but have changed course as well like above posters have said. SUV will give you 3 rows but you will have less space, imo

My SIL just got this.
She had the Town & Country and it was randomly breaking down due to electrical/computer issues. (Happened about 5 times in the course of a year and she had a new model).
She has the 3 kids so minivan makes the most sense for her. DS loves riding in there with them too, and this is the primary vehicle my ILs use with all 4 kids when they watch them during the week.
I used to have the Mazda CX9 but I only see it being practical if you have 3 bigger kids and not car seats. Like the other poster mentioned too, you also have less room once the 3rd row is up because that's your trunk space.

This ... With the 3rd up there is still a good amound of room in the trunk. If you do any type of travel by car with 3 kids (long trips) a mini van makes it soooooo much easier.

This exactly - I miss my minivan and do not love my Acadia. It's extra special that the front headrests have a whiplash feature where they push forward on impact - or if you have a long legged toddler behind you throwing a tantrum you can test this special feature without an accident.

Re: Please recommend your 3 row SUV/Minivan...
I'm not a mini van mom. I love a big truck. After my last truck, I got a Buick Enclave and really love it. I am on my second one now (got a 2013 last year). It's 7 passenger, but they make them 8-passenger as well. I have the Captains chairs in the second row because I still have 2 in car seats/booster seats and need my oldest to be able to get into the 3rd row seat. I keep my 3rd row, the side that isn't being used, folded down and I have no space problems. I have my city mini stroller, my spare diaper bag, my portable high chair in there at all times, and I have room for groceries when I go shopping. I keep seeing more and more on the road, so they are pretty popular!

Re: Please recommend your 3 row SUV/Minivan...
I swore I would never be a minivan Mom, but when we looked at the price and cost of gas for an SUV, it was crazy!
I happen to LOVE my Honda Odyssey. 3rd row and plenty of room to haul everything I need. I thought I was giving up trunk space when I gave up my TrailBlazer, but far from it!
Give it a test drive, that's what sold me!

Honda Odyssey I NEVER thought I'd be a mini van mom, now I'm obsessed. The convenience and comfort gets you over the not wanting to be a mini van mom real quick!

T&C. Can't beat the stow and go seating. So easy to reconfigure seating, or pop third row down for large items. Roomy. Comfortable. Price is right. Upgrades don't cost a fortune.

We were thisclose to getting a town and contra and I just couldn't do it. I ended up with a Mazda cx-9, but I it wouldn't work for 3 kids. I only have 2

We have an Acura MDX and an Infiniti QX60. Love both. Very roomy, even in the third row.

I'm expecting my 2nd child in April and we just got a Sienna (I upgraded from a Jetta). Although, I poke fun of myself sometimes when I'm driving it....I love love love love it!! So practical, roomy and honestly, when you are driving it, you don't feel like a minivan Mom!
Go test drive!

We are getting a minivan. I looked at 3 row SUVs and the third row was so uncomfortable.

Yes! If it's raining, all of my kids just get in the van. I then get in and walk around to strap everyone in so I don't have to stand out in the rain. You would have to climb over seats to do that in another car.

Suburban we love it! Comfy, lots of extras and still tons of room in the trunk even with the 3rd row.
