I said I would NEVER drive a mini van...and now I have the Honda Odyssey and it is WONDERFUL!! I also have a HONDA Pilot (3rd row SUV) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that too!! I'm a huge fan of Hondas though...
Is the Odyssey easier to get in and out of and more practical? We have one DS and one one the way...so 2 kids thanks!

As far as I'm concerned, you don't need AWD to be good in the snow.
I don't know what everyone's definition of good in the snow is... if you are planning on driving in a foot of unplowed snow.... you need something like a Wrangler.... if you're talking plowed snow, I think most of them will do fine.
we have an Odyssey, its great. I drove it in the last big storm 2 Fridays ago to get in by 9AM. Was it super easy driving? no. but definitely doable.

We have a Honda Odyssey and are very happy. I would not consider the mini van though until we were having our 3rd child. It is easier especially with all the car seats.
