Update: First, I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers.
We went this morning for the appt. but they messed up and had scheduled me for a regular appt. instead of a sonogram. Luckily they had someone who was scheduled for a sono at 3 but gave birth so they had an opening. Basically I spent all day waiting and worrying. I just came back and everything is fine! The baby is measuring right on schedule and we saw and heard the heartbeat They did find a cyst in my ovary and one outside my ovary but the sono tech said it's common to get them with the increase in hormones during pregnancy. They just want to monitor it. I'm so glad everything is OK with my little peanut.
Friday afternoon, all of a sudden I felt like I peed myself but knew I didn't. I ran to the bathroom and saw bright red blood. It was more than spotting but not like a full period. I called the doctor and they said to call back if it continued or got worse and they made an appt for me tomorrow for a sono. It was weird because it stopped after about 20 minutes. The way it happened was almost like something popped, there was a lot at first, then it tapered off, then nothing. I had no pain or cramping at all which the doctor said is a good sign and thankfully nothing since.
I'm trying to stay positive but I'm so scared that I'm going to get bad news tomorrow.
Please send positive thoughts my way for tomorrow. Thank you.
early in my pregnancy at about 6-7 weeks i had consistent spotting. I went to the E.R because it didn't stop and while at the E.R immediately following a sonogram showing the babys heartbeat i went to wipe the gel from my cooter when i realized blood was dripping out pretty quickly...then it squirted onto the floor. the spotting continued until about 10 weeks if i remember correctly
I'm now 26 weeks along and everything has been fine thus far. it could have been a hematoma bleeding out, or a cyst...anything really. try to stay calm. best of luck and lots of
I'm 8 weeks today. I'm sorry you went through that but thank you for telling your story. It gives me hope. My doctor was trying to tell me not to panic because there are other things that can cause the bleeding which are somewhat benign. I was good all weekend but tonight I'm very nervous.
