Please share your FET costs w/no insurance coverage

Hi!

I was on this board from the beginning and a successful graduate (ds born in 09). I am now thinking of doing a FET, but have been quoted about $5200 at LI - IVF. We don't have insurance coverage.

Can you tell me if this is the average price or if other clinics cost less. This fee is a huge reason why we haven"t been able to move forward.

I wish all you much luck and success!

Thank you

Hey Donna. Chat Icon Is that just the cycle fee or does that include the meds?
I go to Dr. Braverman and started from scratch with him with the current lab he's been using. I'm not sure how much the fee is but I think if you transfer embryos to them they stay there for either 3 or 6 months for free and then if after that timeframe they're still there, they charge you to store them at their facility. I think it's cheaper than LI-IVF is, but I'm not sure if you've already paid your annual fee to them... if so I'd take that into account too. I pay less than that for FETs, but that doesn't include my meds. It includes all monitoring and has to be paid before starting bcps and covers me up to my beta day. Good luck! Chat Icon

My insurance covers all of my meds and monitoring for the FET, but we pay $1750 out of pocket for the transfer at RS of NY. My insurance only allows 3 IVF's total, so we've decided to save our coverage for fresh cycles. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
