Re: Please tell me not to worry
I wouldn't worry. Most likely it is nothing, and you are just being careful.

Thanks ladies...
but what about the 120+ views on here?
are people reading this and thinking - sheesh - she SHOULD worry - I'm not going to tell her not to worry.
Hell - I won't even give her a hug.
Screw her and her pale skin....
don't worry, I'm sure it's fine. You're doing the best thing by getting it checked out. I go for body checks every 6 months I get so many odd looking moles. It may have gotten worse due to all of the hormone changes your body is going through. for my fellow pale sista

Re: Please tell me not to worry
I really know nothing about this , but I agree that you are doing the right thing and getting it checked. I'm sure it'll be fine , but I'll send you hugs anyway !

Re: Please tell me not to worry
Sounds like a skin tag- they are pregnancy related and totally harmless so don't worry

Re: Please tell me not to worry
I had something on my leg that I thought had changed size. It was flush with my skin but didn't look right...it was just a mole and they cut it out

Re: Please tell me not to worry
I have so many marks on my skin and everytime I've worried, it's been nothing. But here are some hugs for you anyway even though I think you shouldn't worry so much.

it is raised or not? Symmetrical borders or not? Changed or not?
From what you described, it doesnt sound concerning to me. I am a worrier too so I can relate.
Its a raised skin color lump - I've had it forever, and there is no real color to it so there are no borders... is that ok?
Thanks for responding.
I keep having this image of people reading this, shaking their head and thinking - well, sucks to be her.... hmm - wonder what L word character I am - that looks like more fun than convincing this worry wart that she doesnt have skin cancer.... click...
I have the same thing you are describing on my leg and I've had it looked at by a doctor and have been told it's nothing. Well they did give me a name for it but I can't remember but it's nothing to worry about. I've had cancerous cells removed and this looks nothing like those did.

Re: Please tell me not to worry
With every problem I have on my plate right now...I keep telling myself not to worry until I know I have something to worry about.
It doesnt seem to be foolproof, but its helping...I will say a prayer for you

I was one of those views (2 now). As soon as I saw your post, I thought of my dad and how he has the mole that ate Greenlawn. He has had it for years and finally just had it checked last week because he thought maybe it grew. The doctor was not concerned at all and said it is a very normal looking whatever it is. I would have thought the worst of this particular mole and I expected it to eat all of Suffolk eventually. See, nothing to worry about!!!! (This is a true story and that is really what we have called the mole).
