PNP or Crib for MIL's?
MIL watches DD 3 days a week at her house. She has a PNP now that DD naps in. But I'm confused about the future-- won't she need a crib or something else once DD outgrows the PNP (when do they outgrow it anyway? a year or so, b/c it becomes not strudy enough?)? We'll buy her whatever she needs, but I'm just curious about this.

Re: PNP or Crib for MIL's?
DS is at MIL two days a week and he sleeps in a portacrib (wood). She actually has two cribs, one "normal" and one wood porta because she watched DS and my neice. It works out great, he can sleep in there like he's home. And, he does sleep over so I know he's comfortable. DS is 2 and niece is 2 1/2.

Re: PNP or Crib for MIL's?
go for the crib...IMO, itll be best, and by the time your DC is ready to be out of the crib, you may have another baby ready to go in anyway...i never opted for the PNP- the comfort of a crib mattress is way to appealing...

Re: PNP or Crib for MIL's?
My DS is 21 months and still sleeps in the PNP at my IL's house or when on vacation. I bought a mattress for it at BuyBuyBaby to make it a bit more comfy. He's fine in it. When he is done sleeping in there I will just put him in a bed

Thanks for the responses! I think we'll look into a crib for her house!

Re: PNP or Crib for MIL's?
My family uses a PNP. And now that he is getting bigger, she is getting him a toddler bed soon. A crib would have taken up too much room at the time so that is why we opted for a PNP plus it is cheaper

Re: PNP or Crib for MIL's?
Right now she naps in a PNP at my parents' house but I think we will need to think about a crib because I really feel the mattress of the PNP is uncomfortable.

My mom has a crib. For the time that your DC spends at your MIL's I would invest in an inexpensive safe crib.
