Police shooting just outside Fergusun
An 18 year old black kid pointed his gun at a cop. The cop killed him.
On the surface, case closed.
Now I have heard everything..The story says it might be police being aggressive...
With EVERYTHING going on right now one would think if you POINT A GUN AT A COP you might be killed by that officer.

Absolutely zero sympathy for the thug if he pointed his gun at the officer. Can't wait to see the backlash this brings...it's freakin scary what's happening in this country.

Read one of the witness's said I wonder if it could be police being aggressive I think that is so they can already paint the kid that was shot as innocent I'm sorry you point a gun at a cop expect to get shot. Someone needs to go on national news and explain that cops shoot to stop the threat, center mass, not shoot to hit an arm or leg

"I understand police officers have a job and have an obligation to go home to their families at the end of the night," he said. "But do you have to treat every situation with lethal force? ... It's not a racial issue, or black or white. It's wrong or right."
UMMM...damn right they do when they have a gun pointed at them.
WTH is wrong with these people? Do they really think this behavior is OK? What if this same person came into your home and pointed a gun at you? I'm sure if you had a permit for a gun to use for protection you would use it.
And I hate that they are making this a race issue. Black, White, Red, Green. You point a gun at a cop. You get shot. End of story.

either way i don't blame this cop with all that is going on if i was him i wouldn't give him the chance to see if he would drop the gun. i do wish he was wearing his body camera though so there would be not doubt for those who want to believe something else really happened!

Exactly! This is not TV, it's REAL LIFE!. If someone was pointing a gun at you, would you give them a chance or would you do whatever you have to do, in that instant, to protect your own life? In the time it would take you to "give them a warning" you'd very likley be dead. And, you have to know, if you are pointing a gun at a police officer, you will be shot at (if the officer is given any opportunity to do so)!

No need for anyone to get all up on arms by my question. I clearly stated in my post that if you point a gun at police officer expect to be shot and I felt the cop did nothing wrong. I just wanted to know what the policy is even if it's absurd to give a warning it could still be a policy which is why I was asking whats it is.
If it's just to shoot to kill great no problem with that.

I read a comment elsewhere and someone actually had the audacity to suggest that the officer should have used his taser. I just cannot understand in what world some people think you can point a gun at a cop and not get shot.

The comments on social media about this are mind blowing. People are saying the video showing Antonio Martin extending his arms is doctored, the cop planted the gun that was found, he didnt wear his body camera on purpose, cops should fire a warning shot or taser first. It is absolutely shocking how ignorant people are !
