Poll: Heartbeat and Gender Prediction
An old wives tale says that if the heart beat is 150 and up, then you are having a girl. Just wondering how accurate this is on the boards.
I just got back from my first "official" sono and I am measuring 8 wks and the hb was 175

My  's heartrate has always been below 140.
At the stage you are at, though, it's normal for the heartrate to be that high. It will start to settle around 14 weeks or so.

With my 1st baby, the HB was always 145 and above, I had a With this pregnancy, so far at 8 and 12 weeks, the HB has been 160. I will find out in 4 weeks if its a girl or boy.

I just read a study on this and out of like 1,000 babies the mean heart rate for both genders were the same- something like .1 or .2 difference.

at 9w my heartbeat was over 160 & stayed there until 20w. At 20w, he was 134. My last appt, he was 149...
