My parents live in Bayside, but they also own a home in Las Vegas where they will move to when they retire.

Mom and Step-Dad live in a larger house than the one I grew up in...
Dad and Step-Mom still live in the same house (still have kids in HS)

Same house I grew up in.....they are very young, both still work. I have younger brothers & a sister still at home too.

my parents still live on LI. they dont plan on moving. in fact my sister, BIL and her 3 kids are moving in with them, when the construction is done.
ETA: their ages are 60 and 65.

My parents waited for all 4 kids to move out, and then they bought a bigger house on a bigger piece of property in a nicer neighborhood.

I put "other". My mom lives in CT in the house I grew up in (we moved there when I was in 6th grade). My dad lives on the water in Babylon Village since 2002 (although they just put their house on the market - wish I had that kind of cash to buy it).

My parents are still in their original house they bought 6 months before I was born (27 years ago). My dad is retired for over 5 years now & my mom can retire this year. Their house will be on the market in less then 2 months as they can not afford the taxes here anymore (mortgage is only $200 a month & is kept for a write off). They will be purchasing a BRAND new house in Maine for $165K  I am upset but at the same time know this is what is best for them!

My parents have been in the same house for the last 20 years, but it wasn't their first house, though I consider it the one "I grew up in" since I spent the most years there (from 9-18). But we also lived in Florida and they lived in Texas when they first got married.
And while I live close to them now, I lived in NYC and San Francisco before buying a house back on LI.

I forgot to add about my in laws. My inlaws still live in their original house in Massapequa. My husbands grandmother (93) still lives in her house she raised my mil (Massapequa also).

My mom is still in our original home...not retiring any time soon (she's young still). She may consider selling and purchasing a condo/co-op. Its alot for her to keep up with. Dad is passed.
DH's parents are still married and sickly in love. They still have their original house and are happy grandparents on their way to retirement within the next five years or so.
