Pool float question...
We are going to Florida in 2 weeks ( ) and I know that the house has a pool. Last year, the house had pool floats for babies, but DS was too young to use them.
This year, I don't know what they have (new house) so, I am not sure if I should buy one and bring it with me me (in its package) or just wait it out and try to buy one there if the house doesn't have one.

I would just buy one and bring it with you --- it is small enough in the origional packaging to pack with you.
Target has "spring floats" for babies that are FANTASTIC......and they are very easy to fold back up if you want to take it home with you.

Re: Pool float question...
Is there someplace nearby that you can pick something up if they don't have one?

That's what I don't know. It's a resort town (Captiva) but I don't know where or what the cost would be.

Re: Pool float question...
We bought a great one for $3.99 at Walmart or Target (I can't remember which store). It is in the same section as the blow up arm floaties. Its package is thin plastic so it would be easy to pack. Brooke has been using it since she was 6 months old and Kaitee still uses it at 23 months old. This is what it looks like:

I've heard Captiva is really nice!!! I have always found that the price of summer gear in Florida is pretty reasonable. If you have time to get something here and you have space in your luggage, do it ahead of time. Otherwise, I still think you will be fine.

I am SO excited to go to Captiva!! We've been going to St. George Island on the Panhandle for the past 4 years (holy moly, I've been going for 5 years ) but we changed it up this year! I think everyone is excited for some civilization!!
Thanks everyone! Amanda, that is cute! Kaitee likes it still? Do you do swimmies and that?
