Re: Pool Party For Birthday In January?
The only reason I could see them not coming is if adults have to get in the pool too. (Which at 13 I would think they wouldn't) We got invited to a pool party for a classmate over the summer an a lot of kids didn't go because all the Mom's were like hell no I'm not getting in a bathing suit! (This was a 5th birthday party though.)
I think the kids would love it in January

He will be 10 13 is his "golden birthday"
Safe T Swim doesn't require you to but YMCA does. I'm not sure about the hotels. I would never go to a party where I had to get in either!

Re: Pool Party For Birthday In January?
I can't believe how competitive it is to get the date you want for a January party! My first choice wasn't available! I raced up there to pay my deposit so my second choice didn't get snatched up. His dad thinks I'm insane
I went to the new Nesconset location of Safe T Swim (next to NYSC) and it's sooooo nice and the pool looks bigger than other locations I've seen in the past.
In case anyone is interested in a party there, It's $350 for up to 24 people in the pool (that includes adults that swim). Over that it's $8 per person and you need another lifeguard which is a $25 fee. They have nice clean locker rooms and the party room is huge with a big window facing the pool. You can bring your own food (the kids get pizza, you can order extras) and you have to supply all the paper goods and drinks.
