Poop when they're starting solids?

Ok, definitely a gross topic, but what's the consistency supposed to be like? DD is 7 months and been on solids over a month, and lately it's hard poop that she grunts & grunts to get out. Is this normal? If not, is there anything I can give her to help her? She poops daily, but it's hard and she seems to need to work to get it out. Her diet is sooo varied, we're giving her a range of foods, so I don't think it's one thing that doing it, you know? She doesn't cry or get upset when she's pushing.

ETA: I just looked at her eye after she just struggled to poop (and did, but it was hard-ish), and she seems to have a little red spot on her eye, I guess like a popped blood vessel Is this OK?????

thats Noah as well.

I tried more water, which is hard to get down for him but its good to help constipatio.

And I try to give more prunes when its happening for more then 1-2 days.

Its normal though.

Gracelyn is the same way, she grunts & gets red in the face but then is fine...everyone told me not to worry
