Re: poor egg quality
I don't know for sure but I would assume no. We are born with all our eggs. It's different for guys, they are constantly making new swimmers, so they can change things in their diet, environment, vitamin intake to help with the new production. We have what we have and that's it.
I could be wrong though, I'm no expert!

Re: poor egg quality
It's one of those debatable topics. Some will swear by herbs, acupuncture, supplements, diet changes, etc. Others will say no and you have to keep digging for the golden egg. I go with the anything's possible, though might not be probable approach. I do have to say that even with massive supplements, my egg quality went down a lot in 6 months (between IVF's).

Re: poor egg quality
The first step in determining egg quality is measuring your FSH levels in you blood. Depending on the range you fall in your doctor can get some info on what the quality is. Yes, we are born with all our eggs but quality can change overtime for many different reasons. All of our eggs are in a dormant good stage (unless if someone has genetic abnormalities in their eggs) until with every cycle certain follicles are selected to release a mature egg. That processing to a mature egg is what usually is the problem when you hear about bad egg quality. Say, just because your FSH might be 12 today it doesn't mean that your eggs were always bad. There are many factors that could contribute to that, such as endo, aging, a thyroid condition that I forget what it's called, and so on.... I'm doing many things to improve my egg quality and I've seen a progressive change. Of course this could all just be a coincidence but what do I have to loose right I do acupuncture, I take wheatgrass pills, maxi greens, Royal jelly with bee pollen, Coenzyme Q10, melatonin. Like I said I don't know if all this stuff helps, but I went from a 12.3 to a 10 to a 7.53!!!! But then again they also say that you are only as good as your highest FSH...Dr B told me the fertility meds help with the egg development and you end up with a better egg

Re: poor egg quality
Thanks so much girls.... I am actually not even sure what my fsh is. DR. B called with my ovarian assessment results and said i was in the low average range. So not so bad. He said what he does with this is be more aggressive to produce more eggs. which we are doing already. So i guess we will see. He explained it as...the ovarian assessment does not test for your ability to get pregnant. and that poor egg quality affects how long it takes you to get pregnant.
angel333- i will look into the supplements you are taking thanks

I know it's the "how long it takes to get pregnant" that made me decide to get help I was trying for a year and a half without meds with no luck and then I finally gave in thinking I WANT THIS BABY NOW
