Portion Sizes
DH wants to start eating more normal portion sizes. He is fairly athletic though so he's able to eat like 2,000 calories a day to maintain his weight... any idea where I can find a portion guide or anything to get an idea of how much or how little he should actually be eating?

Re: Portion Sizes
I believe you use the palm of your hand to determine portion size, like a portion of red meat is equal to the size of a deck of cards.
if you divide your plate half should be filled with veggies and a quarter for protein and the other quarter for a carb,

Re: Portion Sizes
Invest in a digital food scale. Best $$ I ever spent when I was trying to lose weight because you REALLY see what 6 ounces of meat/chicken/fish IS.
Then you can go on calorieking.com or a site like that to see what how many calories are in the portion of food you are cooking.

http://www.choosemyplate.gov/weight-management-calories/weight-management/better-choices/decrease-portions.html is a good resource
this also has a good picture of portion sizes using your hand: https://blogfoodforthought.com/tag/hand-portion-sizes/
