Positive Results without a Test?
Did someone here say they knew someone who never took the Covid test but were told they were positive?
The stories that are coming out of FL now are crazy and I don’t know if I believe their numbers.

Which stories are you referring to?
The ones where people are getting positive tests and never had a test or the ones where the numbers have been inflated.

Exactly. I have a long time friend whose BIL went to get a test as a coworker was tested positive. The wait was way too long so he left. A few days later he received a letter saying you are positive. How the heck can you be positive to a test you never took. Pretty sure this was the site someone said a relative also was told that.

I saw people repost alleged FB claims that this happened a few weeks ago. I don’t believe random people’s FB posts. I tried to fact check, but found no additional information to back them up other than someone else posting that they knew someone who knew someone who had a similar experience.
Regardless of whether or not that is the case (which I doubt) this virus is real. Numbers are increasing everywhere and are starting to increase again slowly but surely in NY.

I agree. Although I do find it interesting that LI is the only place where numbers are significantly rising, especially in Suffolk County. And close to half are under age 30. I hate to generalize, but I am livid at these young people who all had a grand old time at 4th of July parties, and now they are ruining it for everyone else. Suffolk county had more positive tests yesterday than any borough of NYC...and their population is significantly higher.

Why would FL be trying to inflate case #'s?
If anything I'd think they would try and minimize the situation to avoid another shutdown.

I would love to know how they are saying a huge amount of people from a 4th of July party has it when it is now taking 7-10 days just to get the test. Did they all feel sick that night and went the next day and still had results to publish on the news in less than 7 days?

Interesting as they said yesterday on the news 7-10 days and I know a few that went recently and they were told 7 days and still haven’t gotten results.

Positive Results without a Test?
I am not sure what you mean exactly but I never took a test and found out later I had positive antibodies. Meaning I had it and never knew because I had no symptoms. Luckily, I was quarantining anyway because my son tested positive.

Yes, they were doing this at hospitals in NJ. Ofcourse no one wants to believe this is possible because of the blind faith that is happening. But my source is very credible to me.

This is why I'm starting to think it's a huge mistake to open schools. Do we really think most states Dept. of Health are ready to handle the huge amount of testing, reporting, and contract tracing involved is going to happen accurately?

I am thinking more towards less people have it so we do need to open as are they inflating numbers to keep us shut down longer?
Are the ICU’s in FL Covid floors or are there many other reasons and are surgeries still going on down there to increase the amount of beds being taken?
No one seems to ask these questions and just take their word about numbers.

This person had an appointment to get a test. He did not have the time to wait (think she said it was way over an hour). He left. He then got a letter in the mail saying he was positive. They had all his info but how could he possibly be positive without taking a test?
