Fox News isn't even saying that it's definitely gas... they keep saying "if it even is gas" Don't you think they should confirm the information

now jersey saying it came from ny and ny saying it came from jersey.. and still no offical report for them gov' or con ed... just that it's not harmful... i know i might be paraniod but something is not right here

I'm right around the block from the 23rd ST subway that is closed down and I don't smell anything...

There was a natural Gas leak at Bleeker and 6th. They do not know what it is and they are investigating

I could smell it on the train somewhere around West 4th street this morning all the way up to 53rd street where I got off!! I knew I wasn't imagining things!!

My DH is at 7th and 34th and said he couldn't smell anything. He said he was just outside too, weird since he is right across from Macy's (which was evacuated).
Bloomberg is saying there was a small leak on Bleeker. The air sensors haven't shown any unsual levels.

They think it's the chemical added to natural gas that gives it odor to make it detectable. It's manufatured and they are trying to find the source. They don't think it's dangerous -environmental sensors are not showing an increase in natural gas.
