Re: Possible Gas leaks in the city...
I told DH to come home -- and he replied:
Get in a LIRR tube 100 feet underground and head downwind..??!!
Wind is from the southwest so most likely something is coming from new jersey swamps. Or with all the rain there was a sewage spill or something like that.

I heard on the radio there was a gas leak in jersey city. the wind (even tho it's slight) has been carrying it to us.

Re: Possible Gas leaks in the city...
They still have no idea what it is is but it is not harmful. How do they know that if they don't know what it is
The 2 gas leaks officials said would not cause this in the entire city.
And Bloomberg said that tests show it is not gas

Bloomberg was so nasty. I think he made things worse with his press conference.

Re: Possible Gas leaks in the city...
I just got home from Midtown. It definitely smells like gas. And, I could smell it in the subways underground, as well as all the way up in my building, so I highly doubt it's being "blown over" from somewhere else...

I am no where near the city but I love how they have just blew this off!! I would have gotten my butt out of there and gone home. You just never know anymore.

Re: Possible Gas leaks in the city...
Home. Why sit around my office & breathe in gas if I can work from home?
