Post ONE weird food issue...
you have.
just one.
Mine is that none of my food can really touch. Mashed potatoes on one side, steak on another. When DH serves me, he tried to put it in the middle and I have to start all over again

Mine is similar. But, in addition to what you said, I have to eat each thing at a time. First the meat, then the veggies, then the potatoe. I can't have a piece of meat with a veggie on the fort. Or I can't have a piece of meat, then a piece of veggie. No veggies till the meat's gone.

I have to take things apart. Oreo cookies - top cookie, eat that first, lick off the middle and then bottom cookie. Anything that's layered - I eat each layer individually.
I think I might be borderline OCD

I don't have one but my DS did! He had to have all his food arranged on the plate, in a circle, NOT touching. Then he had to eat it clockwise finishing one item completely before he moved on to the next!
I love that kid!

No one is allowed to eat seafood near, around or adjacent to my plate. If they do, I set up barricades of glasses, napkins, menus...whatever, to avoid any seafood splashes onto my dish.

I can't drink orange juice by itself... even if I drink a whole glass of OJ, I have to have a bite of something to eat after. I love OJ but I hate the way it makes me so phlegmy after if I don't eat anything.

I have a cheese thing. I can only eat it if it's melted, and it can't be a meat & cheese combination, like a cheeseburger or tacos. I can however, eat pizza or a grilled cheese sandwich.
I know you said just one, I have so many, it was tough to pick just one

I hate cheesecake. There are only about 4 people on the planet that hate cheesecake & I'm one of them.
Also I've started trying food in the last 10 years (which could account for the weight gain ), but basic food that everyone else has been eating for years...tomato, sweet potatoes, melon. There are a ton of things I haven't tried or tried a long time ago but won't try again - plum, peaches, etc.

When I order a sandwich, I ask for everything lettuce, tomato, onions, whatever but when I go to eat it, I proceed to take everything out except the meat and maybe cheese. But I would never get a plain meat sandwich.

Similar, if I have peanut butter I HAVE to have orange juice after. I just can't have peanut butter without OJ, unless there is jelly. But plain PB needs to be washed down with OJ.

I don't like cheesecake either  I don't like creamy foods... hate cream puffs, canoli's, anything with a creamy center basically.... although I do like yodels..lol
I also don't like tomatoes, but I love ketchup and tomatoe sauce.

My only food issue is that I'm a member of the "Clean Plate Club"....  Even if my stomach hurts because I'm so full, it's almost impossible for me to leave food on the plate.... even if I can wrap it up and take it home from a restaurant.
I've been trying to break this for many years. I'm making some progress, but it still haunts me....
BTW, I never force DC to finish what's on their plates.....

I hate when eating get super messy. Like I have to cut my sandwiches & burgers in half so it's more manageable and enoyable to eat.
And I need plenty of napkins to keep wiping my hands inbetween bites and drinking.

I'm like this too. Kit Kats, Twix, Butterfingers, I have to eat the chocolate fiirst, then the center in layers.

I used to be this way for a long time, I only recently started to eat things together. Sometimes I surprise myself that I'm doing it since I ate this way for so many years.
And I also like to clean my plate, but if I'm at a restuarant then I'll take it home bc they give such big portions.
