I have MANY weird food issues! Probably the strangest is that butter sceeves me out! I NEVER put is on bread, etc. and the look of it makes me want to vommit.
However, I started cooking last year, and I have been a lot better with my aversion to butter because unfortunately, a lot of recipes call for it.
I have the same reaction to Mayo - but will not cook with it - or even look at it.

I save my favorite for last. For example...plate of fish with some random veggie and mashed potatoes...the first bite I take will be the potatoes, but then I will save the rest of them for the end of the meal.

I have to leave some food behind. Even a tiny bite, or piece of noodle or whatever. But I will take home leftovers, I can't waste a whole plate of food.

I don't eat dessert (only cookies), I don't like a lot of sugar in foods. Everyone thinks I am weird, but i have been this way since i was a kid. I love cookies, but cake, brownies, cupcakes, etc...hate them.
I also hate the taste of strawberrys. Can't eat them and can't watch anyone else eat them....never heard of that.
AND I go through food phases. Last year it was peanuts. I ate peanuts all the time....then all of a sudden i got bored of them. Other things have included american cheese, sunflower seeds, chicken...

I always take my food apart before eating it, like I have to inspect it first and then eat things on their own (like pull the cheese off something and save it for the end!)

Mine is similar. But, in addition to what you said, I have to eat each thing at a time. First the meat, then the veggies, then the potatoe. I can't have a piece of meat with a veggie on the fort. Or I can't have a piece of meat, then a piece of veggie. No veggies till the meat's gone.

My weird food issue is that I cannot eat things that are supposed to be eaten hot/warm unless they have already cooled down. BUT I have to heat up the item first anyhow, or it has to have been heated up first..
Meaning, I will heat something in the
microwave or oven, but it MUST cool down (either leave it on the counter or put in the fridge for a few minutes) before I'll eat it..
I hate hot or warm melted cheese.. for example on pizza or grilled cheese, if it's hot and gooey/runny I nearly gag. I ONLY like melted cheese when it's been cooled off and 'hardened' (gross I know )
Oh and I can only eat ice cream when its extremely soft.. almost melted actually. DH calls it my ice cream 'soup'. Ice cream that is hard or straight from the freezer makes me  I nuke my ice cream religiously

Once I get my food no one can touch it. This includes drinks. As a kid I hated when my friends assumed they could take a sip of my coke out of the can. Once they did, I just let them have the rest.

I can relate to sooo many of these, but if I have to pick just one....
I absolutely despise mushrooms. I've never eaten one, but they completely skeeve me. Mushrooms can't touch my fork or my plate or I have to get a new one. If we get a pizza (at work - no mushrooms allowed at home  ) with half-mushroom, I cannot take the plain slices touching the mushroom half. Plus the box has to be closed so I don't have to look at it.

I hate melty ice cream!! Can't eat it! Even when we bring home sundaes from Friendly's I have to put them in the freezer for a while to re-harden!

Guess this is considered a food issue... I hate to eat with my hands. I'll cut sandwiches, pizza, finger-foods, anything, and eat it with a fork/knife. I hate the thought of my hands being dirty on my food, even if I just washed them!

I refuse to eat anything with mayo mixed into it ie. tuna salad, seafood salad etc that I do not make myself. I would buy this. I am always afraid it has been sitting out too long and I will get sick.
I would eat a turkey sandwich with mayo on it from a restaurant if I thought it was a clean placew.

I usually start by eating the side dish first then the main food. And I also like to finish with my favorite food on the plate but I will stop if I get say a french fry that has a great taste just in case the last one left is just eh.
And I don't like sandwich garnish to touch my food or even on my plate really -- especially the lettuce, onion or pickle. I have flavor transferrance issues.

I will always leave food on my plate when I am done eating.. it doesn't matter if I am still hungry for some reason I think that if I don't finish what is on my plate I will maintain my weight... and I mean I could just leave a quarter size amount but as long as there is still something there I feel better... Oh also I won't finish what is on my plate but I will start eating off my DH's plate, weird I know but It is my weird food issue...

Once I finish my food at a restaurant, I need to have the plate taken away. I cannot let it sit in front of me for some reason, I start to get grossed out.
