Potty help...I want to get rid of pull ups at night, but...
DS gets outright furious if he doesnt have water right before bed. He screams and cries if I try to refuse it. He holds it at night about 50% of the time, the other 50% we have a wet, but not soaked pull up in the morning. I have tried to push fluids during the day so he wont want the water at night, but he just refuses. Any suggestions?

Not sure if this will work for you, but here is what we did.... Only a third of a cup of a drink at dinner and nothing else to drink for the rest of the evening, except a small paper cup full of water after DS brushes his teeth. He goes to bed between 7 and 8. Between 10 and 11, we pick him up and bring him to the bathroom and he goes to the bathroom in his sleep. We bring him back, tuck him back in, and he goes back to bed. Sometimes he will talk to us for a second, but never remembers it in the morning.
We've been doing this for about a year now, and the other night my in-laws put DS to bed because we were out and we forgot to bring him the the bathroom when we got home. At about 4 am, he got up, and came into my room and said he had to go to the bathroom. I brought him in and he said that nana forgot to bring him to the bathroom before bed -- not sure why my 4 1/2 year old needed nana to bring him to the bathroom, but anyway.... I was impressed that he did not wet the bed. I think we'll transition away from taking him to the bathroom in his sleep. We'll see....
Good luck!
