Powdered Formula vs. Ready to Feed

Did anyone find that their DC were really gassy and had a hard time pooping (sorry!) on the powdered but then had all of the problems disappear when they switched to Ready to Feed. DD started getting really gassy and backed up when we put her on all powdered formula, so I switched her to RTF and she seemed happy as a clam, that was two days ago, now she's having a hard time pooping this morning. I was wondering if perhaps it's a fluke or if it's jsut the formula. I will of course as the Dr. I was just curious if anyone else had this happen

I am confused. Is she still on RTF and having constipation issues now?

Re: Powdered Formula vs. Ready to Feed

It could be the brand of formula. We had a problem with the Enfamil AR and switched to Similac RS and it worked wonders.
WE tried both RTF and powdered and didn't really notice a difference so we used the powdered.

Re: Powdered Formula vs. Ready to Feed

if you switched her and 2 days later she's still having the problem i would say it was definitely a fluke. it would be consistent if it really was the formula

i never noticed a difference at all between the 2

Re: Powdered Formula vs. Ready to Feed

DS doesn't seem to be bothered by either......I mean he's a little gassy but I usually use mylicon drops before each bottle and that seems to have helped him. I tried to switch him to gentlease in case it would help him and he SCREAMED soooo clearly he liked the formula he was/is on but just needed a little extra help getting gas out, hence the mylicon drops.
