you guys are scaring me....sometimes it hurts me now without any pregnancies or kids! we already have to ease into things b/c DH has a hard time fitting in there if you know what i mean  
i peek on here b/c i want to TTC soon and everyday i read something else that scares me  
but then you all say every bit is worth it right?

im 12 weeks and still haVent done it yet. between being tired, DH was sick off and on for a few weeks, then i was sick...forget it. its never ending in this house.
i also have this terrible fear of it hurting like a B***&

It took awhile... probably 4-5months, and I had a c-section. When I talked to my gyno about it, he basically said I had to stretch it out again... We used lots of lube and took it slow, but eventually it stopped hurting.

i also had an epiosotomy and was cut inside and out and had a TON of stitches...we got the OK at 6 weeks, and did it for the first time after DS was born at 7 weeks PP, I was so nervous and yes it hurt soo bad, infact it still hurt up to a year later even (I was telling my OB at my annual appt) he said it takes time and just keep doing it, it will get easier I think by 18 months PP it was fine again

I had an episiotomy also. It too me a LONG time to be comfy again. It hurt pretty bad for me. Id say about 6 mths PP.

I had a section and we waited just shy of 4 weeks. Previous to that, we hadn't DTD since I was about 28 weeks

I'm right there with you - it's been 11 months for me too and still hurts. I'm still nursing so I'm hoping it's just that the hormones aren't back to where they used to be (I still haven't gotten AF back) so things are really, really dry I'm upset and embarrassed about it too. You are not alone

how often should one have sex in order to get back 'to normal'? I mean seriously, it's not exactly desirable when it's not comfortable!!!

seriously though- I said that to DH. Actually, it didn't hurt one bit losing my virginity...and now for some reason I pay the price for letting my body do what it's meant to do!

it took me a looooong time.. i had an episiotomy too and i did have lots of scar tissue.
A year later, it was still uncomfortable! Yes i said it... a YEAR!
But then around 18 months PP.. the pain magically went away...
I had spoken to gyn about the pain and she said sometimes with the scar tissue, that happens. Dont go by me tho.. think mine was a rare case..

Honestly, sex didn't feel good again until I was about 5 months pp! I had a big baby and a vaginal birth, so it took awhile!

I agree with this! Just keep doing it, gently and with lots of KY! It will get better and better with each time. Give or take 3-4 months and you will be back in a saddle, enjoying yourself like you used to!

It's still probably uncomfortable b/c of BFing. My OB said it was common for sex to be painful throughout BFing. It has to do with the hormones.
