Pple you won't answer the phone for

or kind of cringe when they call b/c they never let you off the phone.

Anyone know anyone like that?

Asking b/c I'm at work and get a phone call from an Acct Manager from another office. I know this woman can talk and talk. Even when you give the "awkward" silence she won't get the hint. She had to tell me something and then went on and on about something else. I was pouring my cereal in milk when I saw her name on the Caller ID and said to myself... there goes breakfast

I love my brother as well, but he's another one that when I'm hinting i have to go he starts up another conversation. DS could be crying in the background and my brother will talk like he doesn't hear him. LOL!

Almost everyone who calls me at work falls into this catergory.
I really only answer my phone for my boss.
Everyone else I screen!

My Aunt! She's a nightmare. She will keep you talking for hours no matter what. The house could be on fire and she will just keep going. In person she's just as bad. Takes her hours to finish a meal since she never shuts up! Thankfully she lives in cali so I rarely see her.

Honestly I only answer the phone for about 5 people: DH, Mom, Brother, Job and MIL. Everyone else either goes to VM or they can text me. I HATE talking on the phone.

My aunt! And all she does is complain and complain! Anytime you try to throw something positive out there she shoots you down. So annoying!

A relative who's calls I try not to answer after 7 pm at night because she's been deep into the wine bottle by then and gets maudlin.

Picking up the phone, as I did last night, means a long drawn out, dreary session on the phone. Next morning she's usually chipper and bright again with little or no memory of the previous nights laments. When I checked with her this morning, it was as if nothing had happened.

Everyone....I hate talking on the phone. I'm a big texter and if you have something really important lets meet in person.

The only ppl I talk to on the phone are DH, my mom, and my dad.

Sad to say, I screen ALL my calls!
If it's important, leave a message and I'll call you back.
I don't know if its my luck or what, but, the phone only and always rings when:

Im changing a diaper
Feeding the kids
JUST walking in the door (or getting ready to walk out)
Cooking Dinner
Sitting down to lunch or dinner

It NEVER rings during my "down time", which is a good thing, cause, Im screening the call anyway! LOL.

I'd much rather text or email! Or even IM.
I have so many friends and relatives on FB, I just hit the chat button!

1. My granparents - they usually want to schedule a day to meet and I am so busy that I hate to say no

2. My MIL - she doesn't know how to say goodbye, to her that means extend the conversation by 20 minutes

My father, lol. The man calls and wants to talk, but has NOTHING to talk about. And he always calls at the most inconvenient times......when I'm rushing to work, when I'm cooking, when DH and I are....ahem........

I cringe when one of the commissioners calls (or his assistant because he won't let me talk - he's the type that loves to hear himself talk more than anything else).

Since we work for a city agency, we're not supposed to be on the cell phone unless it's an emergency- so if DH calls way to many times (I have to admit for things that can wait until I get home!) I tend to not want to answer the cell phone but I do because I love him.

My MIL- as much as I love her and my FIL my MIL can TALK (and sometimes I let her) but she has bad timing most of the time and calls me while I'm at work and busy.

I actually cringe ANYTIME my phone rings! I'm notirious for never answering, I just don't like the phone.

With that said, I do have a very dear friend that I've totally neglected over the past year, I'm surprised she still contacts me. If I were her, I would have cut me out long ago. I do feel awful about it, but it's always a 2+ hour conversation, and with two kids under the age of 2, I just don't have that kind of time.

Also my mother.... she just goes on and on about nonsense, and I just don't have the paitence for her and all her drama and "I'm such a victim" BS

no one I can think of, but DH will ignore MIL's (his mom) phone calls but she calls him multiple times a day

I have a wonderful friend who moved out of state a long time ago. She hasn't made many friends and now has two kids. She calls all the time! She calls me when Im at work and Im about to take the kids to school, she calls me twice a day and usually at dinner when my husband and I are eating. I feel bad because sometimes I find it easier and quicker to just pick up the phone and explain that we are eating and then not call her back. She will call early in the morning at 8:30, 7:30 her time and she will go through all her NY friends trying each of us if we don't pick up the phone. I miss her, and I love her but sometimes it drives me crazy!!

my SIL! she NEVER stops talking and it's always about the most pointless stuff. a conversation with her is 30 minutes--- minimum. she also always calls at the most inconvienent times--- 7:30 as I'm giving the baby a bath or 10:00 on a Saturday night when I just want to relax! We always check the caller ID and then DH and I take turns with who has to answer it if we haven't talked to her in a few days!

I <3 caller idea for this! I'm soooo not a phone person!

It especially drives me crazy when a certain someone puts the entire house on the line so I can talk to all of them. So much fun talking to the kids!

I'm not a phone person, I'm guilty of screening all my calls and I rarely answer. My MIL will keep me on the phone and go on and on, regardless of anything. She spoke with DH for almost an hour last night and he passed me the phone because she wanted to tell me "one quick thing" just as we were sitting down to eat (which he told her) and she kept me on the phone for 15 minutes. DH had to yell from the background that we were literally sitting at the table and I had to go!!
