there are just some things in life I will never understand. I am truly heartbroken for you. You have been and will be in my thoughts and prayers. Your son is truly blessed to have you.

I first read about this a couple days ago, including reading Lauren's blog, and I was so touched and saddened.. I wanted to send her wishes but especially as a stranger, I didn't think anything I can say would change how incredibly heartbreaking and unfair her loss is.
Lauren, I echo what so many have said.. I was so touched by your story and how strong and loving a woman you are. I know you may not recognize that, but it's true. I pray that you find peace, and for your family as well.
I wanted to comment on one more thing. As painful a moment as it was, I also thought it was beautiful how you described Scott's passing. In a moment feared by so many, Scott had you by his side, laying your head on his chest to hear his last heart beat, while listening to your wedding song. While I don't mean to downplay your pain at all, I think it was a gift that he was able to have you there, and that you were able to share that with him.
Lastly, while I'm sure it may be the last thing on your mind, I wanted to thank you. I'm glad that writing your blog was therapeutic for you, but I think it was also a gift to many of us. It reminds us what is really important, what real strength is. You are truly inspirational.
Again, I wish you and your family peace. May your family cherish the wonderful memories you made with Scott, and may he rest in peace.

I usually never quote anything likke this, but youve said everything i wouldve said as well..
lauren, as a cancer survivor, i thank you, for taking care of your husband the way you did..your blog has made me open my eyes to so many things in my life that needed to be put in perspective..
i made my dh read it last nite, and we cannot stop thinking of you guys..
let go this weekend..you dont have to be strong all of the time, let someone else be strong for alittle while..

Lauren, your strenght is inspirational. While you are in pain and grieving, you have been able to help me see what is really important in life and to cherish all of the wonderful (and even not so wonderful) moments. I believe that it was Scott's gift for you to be there and share in his last moments with him. You are such a strong woman and I know you will teach Logan about Scott each and everyday.
May Scott rest in peace
