A good friend of mine was in a serious car accident this weekend. She has a broken neck, 6 broken vertebrae in her back, broke both wrists, ankles, multiple ribs, major internal injuries... it seems to not end. She is the single mom of 3 little girls, the youngest being only 7 weeks old and things are not looking good. She has no feeling below her neck and the dr's say its too early to tell if she is paralyzed or just so swollen from all the bruising. She lives for her girls and I can't even imagine what they are going through right now. Please pray that God knows she has been through enough and in time, will allow her to heal and be able to hold her children in her arms again and be the mom she always was....
UPDATE: She sat up last night!!!! So thankful to know that she has a chance at a pretty decent recovery. The break to her neck was bad, but able to be corrected with surgery (scheduled for tomorrow). And her vertebrae in her back are going to be fused. She will have limited mobility and go through a TON of therapy, but she will be able to be a great, active and involved mom again within a few months. She is expected to be in the hosiptal for about 2 months, but Lord, 2 months is nothing considering what she has been through. Her girls are going to visit her this weekend and her parents are looking into getting her transferred to an outpatient rehab as soon as possible. Thanks for all your thoughst and prayers. I truly believe in the power of prayer.
Thank God!! Many prayers and good thoughts to your friend and her daughters!!
