Re: Pre-made formula
Make the bottles you need and keep them in an insulated bag with an ice pack or two. Then use a cup of hot water to heat them up when you need them.

I personally never warmed bottles, she drank them cold just fine. Your other option is to use powder and room temp water and mix it as needed when out.

Re: Pre-made formula
I never gave DS warmed bottles either, always room temp for that reason. Maybe for outings you can use powdered? Then you dont have to worry? Enfamil makes these which I used to carry in the diaper bag with a room temp bottle of poland spring enfamil packets

I asked the icu nurse about this the day my son came home, since my sister use to give cold bottles to her kids... nurse said that it can irritate them- thats why they recommend it warmed in a cup of warm water.
- can you get the powder version for when you go on trips and bring bottled water with you to mix it as you need it?
