Pre Pregnancy Blood Work
I am going today... do I fast? I think my OB would have told me and but I can't reach her this second. Opinions?

Pre Pregnancy Blood Work
Can you read what they are testing? If it's a full CBC with Lipid panel (cholesterol) then yes you want to fast. I didn't do a PRE-pregnancy blood work, so I'm guessing that's what it is. I can't think of what else she'd be testing before you get that fabulous BFP. Might just be easier to fast regardless, most labs are open early, so you can get in and out before work. Good luck!

I would DEFINITELY fast... you don't want to have elevated hemo or lipids because you just ate... they are doing a complete work up including for cholesterol and diabetes indicators, so you don't want to give false high readings, giving the impression that you are at a higher risk for issues than you really are (which would probably mean more testing, before and during pregnancy).
