Pre school Vs. Day Care- CPSE mommies please come in
hi everyone
so, we have been getting EI services for our little guy, and he will be three in may, so he will need to have cpse pick up his services after EI.
right now, he stays home every day with daddy. we've been thinking about putting him in some sort of program/ preschool program 2-3 days a week come september. i want the PT to continue at home, so that he's not missing out on the preschool time
i understand that i dont have to have him attend preschool in order for his services (only physical therapy) to begin, but whats the difference between enrolling him in pre school vs. daycare?
any real differences or benefits to either? is one cheaper than the other?
any input is very much appreciated- thanks!

I worked at a preschool and years ago at a daycare. Some differences are the age that the school starts with, potty trained or not, hrs and days off.

My son gets speech and is in the process of getting evaluated for OT. I am a SAHM until sept. When I go back to work my husband will watch kiddies. If you do not need to send to daycare I wouldn't. Not that it's bad, but it is costly. I put my 3 year old in preschool three days a week for 3 hours. He actually started In 2year old program last year. It has worked wonders for him.

Am I understanding it correctly- it's less expensive to send your child to preschool vs daycare?
Are the daily activites pretty much the same? I'm assuming so- (I mean, how many different things can you do with 3 year olds)

Yes for the most psrt unless you go.with a full day type program preschool is much cheaper than daycare bc it is much fewer hours and days.
