Pregnancy planning?
I have a November and a February baby- never stopped me from going out. I have the Chicco Bravo stroller so when we went to stores I would keep them in the carrier and cover the baby so only I could look through the clear part and see them. Having winter babies also gave me a reason to stay home on super cold days and cuddle with them in front of the tv <3

Re: Pregnancy planning?
It took me 4 months trying to get pregnant, so if I had decided to have a second DC I wouldn't have waited, knowing that I didn't get pregnant the first month we tried. DS is from late October and that winter we went out for walks when it was nice and spend time at home in the very cold days. Spring was perfect because he was 6 months old and I wasn't as tired like when he was a newborn, so I had lots of energy to spend time outside in a nice weather.

For my first two kids, I had some help getting pregnant. I purposely stopped from mid-March until May because I did not want a December baby. There are a lot of December bdays in my family and friends and I see how much they get the shaft. LOL Not to mention, I didn't need the added pressure of planning parties in the holiday season.
So...I don't think you are crazy. Or at the very least I think you are in good company.
Yes that is totally me! I would not want to be party planning around the holidays. Knowing me and my DH we would wait until January to have a birthday party! If I don't get a BFP this cycle, I think I will hold off until May.

Pregnancy planning?
thanks everyone for the replies! glad i'm not the only one who thinks about this stuff. I had PPD with my first and getting outside was helpful. But I don't mind going out in the winter either. I know there isn't a perfect way

Re: Pregnancy planning?
I really couldn't "plan" as I had fertility issues, my DS (who is 10) is an early December baby. December is kind of a hard time because of holiday madness, but other than that, I didn't see any advantages to a winter baby.
I actually think it's a bonus to have a child that is the oldest/on the older side of the grade, given how the school cutoffs fall on LI (most are Dec. 1).
I get that it's nice to be out and about, but when he was a tiny newborn, there wasn't much we could do anyway. By the time the nicer weather rolled around, he was old enough to take to classes or to the park. When we went to barbeques all summer and our annual beach vacation in August, he was old enough to sit up, go in a baby pool, etc.
DS has to have indoor birthday parties, because it's too cold for outdoor things. But I know a lot of kids who have summer birthdays feel cheated because they can't celebrate in school.
I think there are pros/cons to every time of year, so I wouldn't over think it.

Re: Pregnancy planning?
Also as a newborn they can't wear sunscreen so you have to be really careful about being outside, them overheating, they can't go in the pool (though we put DD's feet in, but she was such a horrid newborn she hated it, she hated life acutally. )
I really did feel like I missed the whole summer with having her born in late June.

Re: Pregnancy planning?
I would think having a birthday in the summer months would be tough on a kid because people are on vacation so their best friends may not be around for their party. Winter has its own setbacks with snow storms canceling birthday parties
