Pregnancy Weight Gain Estimator
Has anyone tried and, if so, how accurate is it?
http://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-weight-gain-estimator
I'm estimated to gain 15 lbs. If that's the case, I can live with that. :D

I think that estimates what you should gain, not what you will gain.

Re: Pregnancy Weight Gain Estimator
Yeah, it's totally estimates that weren't correct for me. The total weight gain was close, on the lower end, but still too high compared to what I have gained. Plus, I have a small baby so the estimated weight gain for the baby was higher than my doctors anticipate.

Re: Pregnancy Weight Gain Estimator
I sure hope this isn't true because if it is I can only gain 10-15 more lbs for my entire pregnancy and I'm not even 18 weeks yet!

Re: Pregnancy Weight Gain Estimator
What you gain should be based on your weight, height, and the estimated size of the baby. I agree with this estimator and will try to stick by it.
Obviously if I'm only 5' and 95 lbs. I don't wanna gain 25+ lbs. That's more than 1/4 of my weight! :D

Re: Pregnancy Weight Gain Estimator
this said i should gain 25-35 lbs and about 4 lbs every 4 weeks in the second and third trimesters. so that means since i gained 4 lbs in the first tri, and 4 lbs between 12 and 16 weeks, i am on track (so far) - although i think i might have gained about 6 lbs between 16 and 20 weeks.

except because you are only 95 lbs, that's exactly the reason WHY you should gain more weight - women who are underweight need to gain more or risk having a baby with a low birthweight, or other complications.
not saying that is going to happen to you, but that's why this calculator is recommending you gain that much.

29.96 lbs is what it suggests for me.

It said I should gain 15 lbs and that is exactly what I gained with both my children. So, it was right on target for me.

I'm at 35 weeks and already over the range it says I will gain. Not by much though. I think this will be off by 5-7lbs for me.

Re: Pregnancy Weight Gain Estimator
Mine says 25-35 lbs. Onthe bottom is adds up to 29.96.
I am 36 weeks and up 45 lbs.... so it wasn't accurate for me. I reached the 30 lb. mark before starting my 3rd trimester!
