Me too. Before my c-sec while I was in labor I wore a gown with a robe over it, and I was hooked to iv for stept b. Nurses thought I was a little crazy because I insisted on getting dressed 2 hrs after my csec. I wanted to take a shower too but that wasn't happening. They told my dr I was being feisty, but the nurses helped dress me anyways including underwear lol.
Trust me no one will expose you, they are all there to make you comfortable.

Re: pregnant girl crashing to ask a silly question
I wore a gown the whole time during labor & after birth one day. Afterward, I changed to pajamas. Always wore a robe over the gown & pajamas.

Re: pregnant girl crashing to ask a silly question
I wore a gown (an ugly one) the entire time. I like you didnt like the feeling of being exposed-EVEN WHILE PUSHING. But i was exposed- and i got over it quickly.
Best of luck to you- before you know it- IT'S OVER (coming from someone who was in labor for 48 hours) and you will have the sweetest little baby and forget all about labor and being exposed.

Re: pregnant girl crashing to ask a silly question
I wore a gown but when i got to the hospital in labor i asked to keep my nursing tank on and they let me bc my boobs needed the support they were huge and i dont like that hanging feeling ever. Even during my emergency c-section i had the nursing tank on.

Re: pregnant girl crashing to ask a silly question
I wore a gown with the opening to the back during labor. But, I will say that towards the end you just don't care anymore and I was standing up in front of my Dh, my mom and my midwife with my bare butt out there for everyone to see. As far as nursing... I wore a gown the first day. Two gowns I think front to back and then I just pulled it down to nurse and then then after that I changed into a nursing tank.

Same here.
sorry if I'm responsible for starting some of those attire during labor rumors
eta: I wore a hospital gown for the rest of the day and the next, and wore PJs the remainder of time in the hospital. Heck, I wore pj bottoms and a zip-up hoodie during most of my first week home.
