I can't watch from work either. Is there a written article about it anywhere? I can't seem to find one.

I couldn't find one either... Knowing CNN, one will be up in several hours, though.
It's one of those classic security camera vantage points. you have no idea what the cops and woman are saying to each other, but you do see her being forced to the ground (onto her stomach) in front of her other child, and being tasered

Re: pregnant woman tasered
They didn't know she was pregnant until after she was tasered and she didn't disclose that information while in custody. She was tasered because the officer was tring to detain her and she was struggling.

Re: pregnant woman tasered
So CNN just put up a video and labeled it "Pregnant Woman Tasered" -- while providing no background, no important information as to why she was being detained in the first place?
Doesn't that seem a bit irresponsible? I mean, c'mon, give us the full story!

Basically that is it. The video is even called Pregnant Woman Tasered this is the description of the video The FBI is investigating after video shows an Ohio officer stunning a pregnant woman. WHIO's Jill Del Greco reports.
The story in a nutshell (no this is me in a nutshell) She went to the police because she wanted to give them the child that was with her. She did not want to answer any questions and when the officers started questioning her she tried to run away. The police took the child away from her and then the struggle went on. That is the story according to CNN but can we trust them they put up a video without a story.

Thanks for clarifying!
"Help! I'm in a nutshell! How did I get into this bloody great big nutshell? What kind of shell has a nut like this?"
ETA - and honestly, no, I don't trust CNN that much.

Re: pregnant woman tasered
ok i am glad someone posted what "happened" - if that's true then W T F is wrong with that woman? not that she deserved to be tasered but the officer who did that should not be faulted - SHE was the one who refused to cooperate, and didn't disclsoe her condition - in fact, she didn't disclose any info!

What is that new Law that you can drop a child without being questioned? I thought that was the whole purpose of this law so you don't abundon kids in the street. So in order to encourage drop kids at a "safe" location, no questions would be asked.
What was she doing that was concidered "not cooperating".... not answering his questions? Was she tasered for not answering his questions? That's a bit radical IMO. Pregnant or not, that looks like a lot of prutality.

Re: pregnant woman tasered
I am thinking she probably did not even know about the 7 days. She probably thought she was doing the "right" thing by dropping her kid there instead of another place. So much for feeling "safe" at a police station.

As a new mom, I was not "totally" overwhelmed at 7 days. Maybe after a few weeks.
I guess the law is really targeting people who did not have an abortion and gave birth. Like teenage girls who were able to hide the pregnancy from their parents but cannot show up with a kid in their arms or new moms who cannot care for a baby from the time of birth.

Re: pregnant woman tasered
The law is for newborns and up to 7days old.....it is to stop people from abandoning babies in dumpsters and other places. It is to promote keeping the babies alive. They have to drop the newborn off at a police station, an ER or a fire house. It can't be a random place. I for 1 COMPLETELY agree with tasers and using them. I work with pd a lot with my job and sometimes it the taser or the gun.. Tasers.....oh and there has to be training befor ethey are given to people, and most people are tased themselves so they understand what it feels like
