preparing to go back to work...questions
Anyone EBF and pump when they went back to work? Did you start giving bottles before you went back, so you would know how many oz he/she would take?

Re: preparing to go back to work...questions
You should start a few weeks prior to going back to work. It is MUCH easier for someone other than you to give your child a bottle at first. She/he might not want it at first so it might take a few tries or getting hungry. Get non-LATEX only nipples for the bottles. That was advise to me from an LC. start out with 2oz bottles. trust me it is the worst feeling to throw out breastmilk. you can give her more if she needs it.
You can pump after your morning feeding and a few times a day NOW to start stocking your supply for when you return. I pumped for a year so I can help you figure all of that out.

Re: preparing to go back to work...questions
I have been pumping every mornig to get up a supply, and he will take a bottle from DH and my mother when I am not home, but he doesnt like it. I go back to work in two weeks, so I am getting nervous.

Re: preparing to go back to work...questions
it will be okay!! You can do this. There will be lots of stuff in life that he does like LOL... Pump 5-10 minutes after every feeding for a few days to build up your freezer supply. I have lived thru the days of not knowing if you would have enough milk for the next day. It is stressful but you get thru those days. Oatmeal will help your supply too. Remember the first few days going back to work are very stressful, most of us cry numerous times and it can be overhwleming. But knowing that helped me - because the other moms made it thru those times.
