Those pearls are ridiculous. They totally take away from the dress which I think is pretty nice HOWEVER - yet again - we have a problem with the fit and her clothing choices... the top of it is too tight and is 'cutting' into her in the arm area. Overall, not good.
I agree and her posture is terrible. I wish she would just stand up straight!

she is very curvy.
and not everyone tries to HIDE it. some people EMBRACE it.
I think she looks great, and they look great together.
she's fit and confident in her body. why would she need Spanx? as far as I know, they don't compress BONE.
ETA: her arms are long b/c she is TALL. from finger tip to finger tip, our wing span is roughly the same length as our height, so a taller woman would have longer arms.
and her shoulder to hip width ratio is not very disproportionate at all. I think our expectations of what a women's body "should" look like are what is way off base and disproportionate to reality.

This I have to agree with. I am 5 9 and when I went for my wedding gown, it had long sleeves. The woman in the first store made me feel like a freak- saying I had arms the "length of a man's arms" and that she'd have to order extra length in the sleeves, etc. I felt like monkey girl or something!
Nothing ever fits me in the sleeves either- everything is way short... very frustrating!

I don't think her body is bad at all. She is just normal. just has a very bad posture.
She does need to get a different/better stylist.

I must be looking at a different picture because I think that dress looks AWFUL!! Diana Ross was wearing that in 1974.
She has such a great shape I don't know why finding a dress that fits her correctly and is flattering is so hard.

I didn't say she was overweight at all. Even super skinny people wear spanx because it smooths out the overall look of a dress. I am a curvy person and confident of my curves and I always wear spanx with a dress because believe it or not it will smooth out the appearance of bone as well. I like how the fabric appears smoother when you wear them. That was what I meant.

she isn't comfortable with totally strapless. Her inaugural dress had that strap added.
I'm sure when she was getting fitted she wanted the top of the dress to sit higher so it covered her more. She was concerned about it falling down.
I think she looks great. She's tall and elegant and silly smart.
Good for her!

This is the best she has looked so far! It is a very good dress for her although it could have been fitted a little better at the top.
The pearls, however, are too much but she is definitely moving in the right direction. I also like her hair that way!

I really like the dress and I really like the pearls but I don't like the dress and the pearls together.
I think she could carry the pearls but just with a different gown.
Love what they did with her hair.
