Presidential campaign question
I noticed that there's an awful lot of us who have said we would be happy with either McCain or Obama in the White House and it got me thinking. Do you think it's easier to campaign when the country is so dissatisfied with it's current leader? Or does it make for a tougher race?

Re: Presidential campaign question
I don't know if it's easier, but I really wonder if either McCain or Obama would be standing before us if the country wasn't in such a mess.
I think people, Republican or Democrat, pretty clearly said they wanted change with the choice of these candidates. Both are kind of outside of their parties so to speak, and if things were better, I think Hillary would have been the Democrat, and I'm not sure who for Republican, maybe Romney.

I agree. But I still think a HRC v JSM race would have been awesome. They are friends and so I really think it would have been a very good, substantive and civil debate. At least b/w the two campaigns. Undoubtedly the outside groups (527s, etc) would have flung mud, regardless.
