Probably a dumb questions about a wedding invitation
Wedding invite is sent to a single person, addressed to their name only (no "And Guest"). There is no inside envelope. The response card states "2 seats have been reserved in your honor." That means the person is invited with a guest, right?

I find it odd that it didn't say 'and guest' on the envelope but I would assume that a guest in invited being that it says 2 seats are reserved.

I would call & ask. Let them know I'm fine either way but just didn't want to presume.

Re: Probably a dumb questions about a wedding invitation
double check - in a nice way.
Our invites were really delayed and I had almost no time to get them out. I didn't realize I forgot to put "and guest" on some of mine until I started getting the rsvps back. One of my friends just replied for herself and I called to ask if everything was okay or if there was a reason she wasn't bringing her new guy - and she said she thought he wasn't invited b/c I forgot to put "and guest". Then I had to call everyone I meant to invite with a guest - ugh!
It's probably an oversight just like me!

Re: Probably a dumb questions about a wedding invitation
I am sure the two seats means bring a guest. They probably read somewhere that you don't put "and guest" on the envelope, but that only applies when there is an inner envelope & that is where you write that.

I've always addressed the envelopes to person & guest. Maybe it's really an invite for the single person and the RSVP cards weren't ordered to reflect single invitees, unless of course the 2 was handwritten then it's a definite plus one

I would assume that's their way of saying you are invited with a guest. My sister's invites didn't come with the extra envelope so we just printed "& Guest" on the actual envelope which was a little weird too. I would definitely think they're writing that to convey that you can bring a guest.
