Product Review/Rave: L'Oreal Lash Serum
My daughter has the most luscious eyelashes...thanks to her dad They're thick, long and have the perfect little curl.
For the rest of us who aren't as blessed...we look to things like eyelash curlers, mascaras, falsies, etc. I kept seeing the commercial for L'Oreal's Lash Serum and was curious so I went to my go to site, MakeUp Alley, for reviews. Based on them, I purchased a tube (just the serum, not the mascara - for mascara I go between DiorShow & Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express - both in the waterproof versions).
I started out using it morning and night for the first 4 weeks, as recommended. At the end of the 4 weeks, I definitely 'saw something'. A little bit of length. So I stuck with it but just at night - if you don't let the serum dry enough prior to putting on mascara your eyelashes wind up looking spidery. No biggie, just a preference. At the end of 6 weeks, I saw new growth and fullness, along with a bit more length.
It has been a solid 8 weeks now and the results are amazing. After I apply mascara, it looks like I'm wearing falsies (compared to what I had naturally).
I'm going to continue using the serum until I run out and will definitely purchase a new tube. I'm almost afraid to stop using it! LOL

I am so embarrassed because I started to write a review, and I haven't updated it since the beginning!
I had the same results as you, almost word for word. I also only use it at night now, and occasionally during the day. I find that combing my lashes with a clean mascara wand helps with the spider lashes when I put my mascara on.
This is a great product, and so much cheaper than the prescription stuff out there!

Girls, would you say that you see a difference only when mascara is applied or is there a visible improvement even when your lashes are bare?

The ends of my lashes have always been really light, so I need mascara. I can tell without it that my lashes are fuller - because the serum makes it so that I rarely shed my lashes - but as far as length, to see the improvement, I need to wear mascara. I definitely look like I'm wearing fake lashes when the mascara is on, though HTH!

My response is the same as LB's... the ends of my lashes are light so unless you're all up in my face you wouldn't see the growth LOL But with mascara it is definitely visible.
I actually got the tube on sale...but would definitely have paid full price for it (knowing what I know now).
