I usually only do teeth cleaning when they are having another procedure. They have to knock them out to do it so I have never been too keen on giving them anethesia. I think it's in the $200-$400 price range. Does he have anything else that needs doing like getting neutered or having a growth removed etc.

Have you tried dental cleaning bones (nylabones etc.) If it's really thick build up sometimes they can take the dental tool and just pop off the worst of it. It's not nearly as thorough as the deep cleaning they get when they are knocked out though. It's more for spot cleaning.

No my 3yr old pup does not need anything else. We were at vet in Oct for scratching and biting and Dr gave a exam and saw her teeth.. they are pretty bad ( I sorta knew I had to eventually get it done) & she wld need the works. I going to call around and see how much other facilities charge..$$$$ I have a feeling your price range is correct. One article suggested a Vet school or SPCA.

North Shore Animal league has good prices, about 1/2 of what my vet charges. My foster dog got neutered at the queens ASPCA and they did a great job.

I don't remember the exact cost. Murray needed some teeth pulled so they charge you extra for that. My groomer recomended LI Animal Surgery in Patchogue. She said they would give us the best price. They were cheaper than my vet.

we just took Coconut to the vet and she is starting to build up some plaque. We do brush her teeth but not as often as we should. the vet said to start brushing more so she wouldn't have to go through this.

I would have figured it would be in that range. $400+ range.
