Protonix and/or Reglan- Anyone taking it while pregnant?
Haas anyone taken either while pregnant.
I saw a GI dr bc my M/S is still pretty bad and he prescribed both and said it was perfectly fine to take while pregnant. I also checked with my OB and the NP there said it was fine to take.
But... I am so leary to take anything. I just want to see if others have taken.

I take Reglan on occasion for nausea associated w/ migraines. Neurologist & OB both said it's fine.
I know lots of women who take it while pg.

Do you have hyperemsis? Did they offer you zofran?
I had HG and I was prescribed zofran and at one point my insurance was not covering the dosage I needed so my OB switched me to reglan. It made me VERY sleepy, I could only take it at night. With B6 vitamin as well.
Personally, I'd see if they could give you zofran since it didn't make me sleepy.
And they are safe during pregnancy.

No, but I am on Zofran 8mg 3x daily - pretty sure it does the same thing.

I am on nexium, but I split the dosage in half. I have been nervous about it all along, but the docs and my sister, who is a pharmacist, all say it is fine.

When I was pg I continued to take Prilosec 2 a day because of my GERD. My OB/GYN did not have a problem with it. I to was leery, but the heartburn was SOOOOOOO bad I had to take it

When I was PG with my first my Neuro prescribed reglan for nausea related to Migraines, but my OB was NOT okay with me taking it and had me on Zofran instead. I know all docs have different opinions, but maybe get a second opinion on that one.

I took Reglan a few times during the 1st trimester b/c of morning sickness. It made me very drowsy so I only took it at night.
