OMG how terrible! I'm glad it all worked out okay though.
Now i'll be checking DS's toes everyday!

omg i know my hair is falling out like crazy and im always checking for it BUT i didnt know it was this serious until my aunt mentioned to me on christmas eve, (bc DD was cranky) and she was telling me how she found hair around her sons thigh - and he was crying hysterically.... so she said to always check , bc it could be a hair somewhere.

my dr has mentioned a few times to always check for that when baby is crying for no reason

That happened to my SIL and niece. A hair had wrapped itself around the baby's toes, and it cut off circulation. I never thought of it, but when she told me her story, I checked DD's fingers and toes every day since.
Glad to hear that you were able to find out what was wrong!!

I read about this is one of the baby books!!!! They used to worry about diaper pins with babies like this, now its hair tourniquets! poor baby, glad it was nothing major! what a day!

Poor baby!! Glad it turned out ok, though. And thanks for sharing. I'm sure it'll help a lot of other moms! It's not something people would think of. DS has always loved hair, so it's something we've had to check for often.
