I was using this recipe but I have some concerns about borax. Read this
Borax really only seems like an issue if you are doing crafts, etc. with it. Most kids aren't eating their clothes, so I'm sure it's fine for laundry. Even if they are eating them, the rinse cycle probably rinses away most of it.

This. Tide is the only detergent I have tried that doesn't make me itch - the cheaper ones all have. Until there is enough of the chemical to cause worry, then I just won't!
