PSA: wear a bike helmet
I was in a bike accident today. I side swiped a car while the car was going 30+ mph. I have some road rash and bruising but I seem to be fine otherwise. You can see that I hit my head as my helmet has a few dents. I went to urgent care and I luckily do not seem to have a concussion.
Please everyone wear a helmet when riding a bike. Make your children wear a helmet. If I wasn’t wearing a helmet, I’d probably be dead.

Definitely!!! My son fell head first off his bike and helmet cracked. I’m so grateful!
And make sure they fit properly!

The driver did stop. We called the police.
I feel okay today. Definitely a sore neck and where the road rash is on my lower back/butt. Pretty sure I have a bruised sacrum in additional to some additional swelling/ bruising in that area.

I’m so glad you’re ok. And yes, helmets are a must when riding. I’m always so afraid for the kids I see without them riding in the streets.
